Altered Art is a particular art form that allows you a voice through the use of bits and pieces, found objects, images, and symbols, that put together, creates your story resulting in a sum much greater than it’s parts. This process of turning unusual pieces of both modern and vintage collections into a new creation, as well as the unique, coveted supplies, has hit the mixed-media world by storm! I have found myself to be one of them. As a burned-out nurse, looking to refill my spiritual well, with no formal training in art, and with a late start, I have found my soul filled and overflowing by creating and sharing what I consider sacred art using the process of Altered Art. Yes, I consider myself continuing my career in the healing profession - I just heal by using a different medium!
